Afternoons with Jim Mora

November 5, 2009

I love going on National Radio’s The Panel. I kinda can’t believe I get to go on grown-up radio and talk about what I think. It is unfathomable at many levels, but a bit like being plucked from the kid’s table at a family BBQ, kinda.

One of the coolest things is that you never know who is listening – NatRad gets a truly diverse audience; it is so cool to have random convos down the track about things jabbered on air.

One especially fun bit is Panel Says- where you get to talk about whatever tickles your fancy. Sometimes you want to be serious, othertimes not so much. Here is a link to me babbling about The Wire.

At the risk of this blog turning into stuff white people like but without the irony one day I will write up a post about my love of this show. But right now, so soon after my talking about liking markets I think I’d better wait…..

I also very much enjoy chatting to Jim and the other guests off air after. For someone who’s interests include earnest convos trying to understand and/or change the world it is pretty much the ideal afternoon.
